The era of hard trucks driven by even harder men is fortunately long gone.

It was our original plan at RPM to use this month’s Question and Answer column to get some input from world leaders in the trucking industry.

This month we pay honors to the only Senator in Washington D.C. to hold a CDL and also talk with four drivers who have a lot of years on the road and keep their rigs in tip-top shape.

A few months back, this writer was sitting at the lunch counter of a major chain truckstop restaurant when the waitress told a fellow customer that, “we are all out of sugar substitute.”

A really great part of this writer’s job is always having a camera handy whenever I am at truckstops, truckshows, or just driving up and down the road between the two.
