Whenever you see photos or movies about the early years of interstate trucking and the truckstops or café’s that served our trade, you generally see a driver eating a “burger.” Actually the hamburger and the trucking industry sort of grew up together.

During interviews last month for the Profile column with Joel and Wendy Fredrick from Oregon City, Oregon, we discovered that they have a hobby of sampling unique places where over-the-road truckers can get a good meal.
