Drivers from Operating Centers Nationwide Enjoy Special Events and Gifts of Thanks

Greatwide Logistics Services, a national provider of third-party logistics services, is taking time out this week – National Truck Driver Appreciation Week – to honor the work and commitment of its more than 4,000 truck drivers. Greatwide executives and senior management will be in the field Sept. 19-25 to personally thank drivers and their families. Drivers based out of Greatwide operating centers nationwide will enjoy events and receive special gifts throughout the week.

To kick off the week-long celebration, the company mailed postcards to drivers and their families expressing thanks for providing superior service to Greatwide and its customers. In addition, the company and its vendor partners will host special breakfasts, lunches or barbecues for drivers at operating center locations; drivers without access to a particular site will be presented with a gift card honoring their service. Non-driver employees are also being encouraged to post notes of
thanks on the company’s Facebook page.

“At Greatwide we understand how critical our drivers are to the success of our business, and that’s why we work hard to express our thanks – not just during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, but every day,” said Rob Newell, director of capacity management, Greatwide Logistics Services. “It’s an honor to celebrate their work and recognize the support of their family and friends. We congratulate all of our drivers on this well-deserved time of acknowledgement.”

Greatwide is currently hiring experienced owner-operators. Candidates can learn more about driving opportunities or submit an application at www.driveforgreatwide.com or by calling 1-800-687-2055.
