Missouri Firm to Increase Workforce
February 7, 2011
R&R Transportation Group of Duenweg, Missouri (www.randrtruck.com) has announced plans to immediately contract 40 additional Owner Operator Team Trucks in response to increased demand for service according to Jeff Herr, R&R President and CEO.
R&R Transportation Group consists of R&R Trucking, AATCO and NEI. Collectively, they represent North America’s premier, specialized carriers of ultra sensitive cargo for government and commercial entities and are members of the NDTA (National Defense Transportation Association), ATA (American Trucking Association) and Missouri Motor Carriers. R&R currently operates over 300 Owner Operator and Company Tractors and 1000 Trailers. The logistic capabilities represented here encompass dry van, flat bed, dromedary and other specialty transportation equipment. Cargo expertise extends into the areas of radioactive materials, munitions, explosives and general freight. R&R drivers hold a hazardous material certification and security clearance.
“These 80 drivers will share in over 10 million dollars of direct economic impact,” according to Herr. “Unlike most carriers, the R&R Group shares a percentage of revenue with Owner Operators, so when we make more by delivering high value freight, our partners make more. Our top twenty five Owners averaged nearly a quarter of a million dollars gross revenue last year even in an environment that has experienced depressed freight rates.”
R&R has also announced plans to hire 20 additional company teams to fulfill the needs of their Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DoE) customers.
