TMC Transportation Honors Louis Steele II With Top Award
February 16, 2012
TMC Transportation, the largest privately-held flatbed carrier in the nation, recently honored Louis Steele II of Bowling Green, VA with the highest driver honor given by TMC, the Wheel Master Award for 2011.
Steele has been a driver with TMC since 1994. He was also recognized with the Driver of the Quarter Award for the third quarter of 2003. Steele’s dedication to excellence, safety record, productivity and many other outstanding qualities are what made him an ideal recipient. In his nearly 17 years with TMC, Steele has accumulated more than 1.5 million safe miles.
“Louis understands that customers as well as drivers are the key to any successful transportation company and is always courteous, polite and professional when dealing with customers and office personnel as well as other drivers,” says operations manager Pat Barr. “Louis is a steady, dependable driver for TMC, works hard to project the professionalism that TMC strives for and does so year in and year out.”
The Wheel Master award was created as a way to recognize TMC’s best drivers. Each year a driver is honored with the Wheel Master distinction based on years of service with the company, safe driving record and overall quality performance.
