“Thank you all so much,” Tillman stated with visible emotion. “There isn’t enough time for me to possibly thank everyone that has contributed to my success. I’m so honored.”

Tillman, a professional driver for four years, has been with Maverick for three years and came to Maverick through the company’s student driving program. He specifically thanked his driver trainer, Maverick’s Training Department, his fleet managers and his wife Leigh Ann.

He is a driver instructor, a Maroon Marauder award recipient, has two safety awards, and maintains a very high MPG average. “Ed is always upbeat and has one of the best attitudes I’ve ever seen,” said Fleet Operations Manager Lea Anne Lindsey. “He is a true professional, is a pleasure to work with and definitely deserves this recognition as Driver of the Year.”

“The Driver of the Year represents the excellence of our entire organization,” said Maverick President and COO Stephen Selig.  “Our company holds this honor in very high regard.”

As Maverick’s June Driver of the Month for 2010, Tillman was recognized for his combination of safe driving, positive attitude and willingness to go above what is asked.
